Have you forgotten who you are? A poem for difficult days.

Have you forgotten who you are?

In the midst of your tears and sorrows,

Have you forgotten who holds your tomorrow?

Have you forgotten your Father’s home?

Above the clouds among golden domes.

Have you forgotten who you are?

You’re the child of the King who is never far.

Have you forgotten your Father’s love?

He shed His blood and you soared like a dove.

Have you forgotten your Father’s care?

He saved you from every hidden lair.

Have you forgotten who you are?

You’re the child of the King who is never far.

Why are you forgetting His promises?

Why are you ignoring His tenderness?

Every cry you utter is heard on high.

The echo resounds and makes the angels sigh.

They wonder how can you sink into despair.

When the King of Kings has counted each of your hairs.

Remember who are!

You are the child of the King who is never far.

You’re more precious than this whole universe.

Forgetting your Savior will only make matters worse.

Wipe your tears and in prayers raise your voice.

If it is peace you are seeking; He is your only choice.

After graduating with a Major in Journalism, Mireille’s career path took an unexpected turn away from her beloved pen and paper. It took an equally unexpected turn of events for Mireille to start writing again. After spending many hours (too many!) watching super hero cartoons with her son, she realized that most Christian children are unaware of their superpowers! She set about creating the SuperHolies: the Fruits of the Holy Spirit re-imagined as superpowers to grab the children’s attention and teach them about their faith and its glory.
